A postdoctoral position in the lab of Prof. Tom J. Battin, Department of Limnology,
University of Vienna, is available to work on the modelling of aquatic carbon fluxes at catchment-scale. The applicant is expected to contribute and to integrate ongoing research on carbon fluxes in the Battin lab, together with Dr. Martyn Futter at SLU (Uppsala, Sweden). Candidates must have a PhD in biogeochemistry and strong skills in mathematical modelling, or in a closely related subject, with a clear record of creativity and scientific productivity. Proficiency in aquatic ecology or in catchment hydrology, and in the management of large data sets is essential.
The position will be held at the University of Vienna, Austria. A description of our lab research interests can be found at www.univie.ac.at/deli.
