Job Responsibilities:
A post doctoral position to study the regulation of innate immune anti-viral response is available in the laboratory of Dr. Manoj Krishnan, Program on Emerging Infectious Diseases, DUKE-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore. The main research objective of the project is to dissect the regulation of the signaling pathways leading to interferon response during viral infection, and the molecular mechanism behind the antiviral action of interferon. The proposed studies will use several approaches including functional genomics and genetic screens, in addition to techniques of cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a strong interest and commitment in developing an independent scientific career. Experience in techniques of molecular biology / cell biology / signaling and biochemistry is required. Prior experience in immunology, microbiology (bacteriology / virology etc) is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
