Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Unraveling the Transcriptional Basis of Metabolic Disease
The liver is the main organ responsible for the system regulation of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. Dysregulation of this homeostasis is an underlying cause for the development of metabolic diseases such as hyperlipidemia, steatosis, and type II diabetes.
This project aims to identify critical elements in the genetic network of liver cells which control this regulation.
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in biology, genetics or biomedical engineering
- Proven experience in mammalian cell culture, cell sorting, microscopy and molecular biology
- Experience in GFP reporter cloning
- Prior publications in metabolism and liver biology
- Knowledge of metabolic disease
