Post-doctoral position available for highly motivated candidates with a background in synthetic/polymer chemistry to join the Bilgicer laboratory. We are a biomolecular engineering laboratory that designs and synthesizes multivalent biomolecules to selectively target various diseases including cancers, allergies, and autoimmunity causing immune components. Projects will involve using synthetic methodology for peptides, small molecules, polymer based and lipid cored micelles/liposomes that potentially will have enhanced efficacy and pharmacokinetic properties over the current drugs.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree and have strong laboratory and analytical skills. Significant experience in one or more of the following techniques are required: polymer synthesis and characterization, synthesis of nanoparticular drug carriers, and organic synthesis.
