Job Description
| Our laboratory studies multiple aspects of the stem cell biology, employing techniques in genetics, genomics, molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry. We are currently focusing on understanding pathways that regulate normal neural stem cells during brain development and cancer stem cells from the brain, using genetically defined mouse models and primary human cells. Candidates must have experience in brain development, cancer biology or stem cell biology. The Jackson Laboratory is a non-profit, academic research institute that provides a unique research opportunity with unparalleled resources for training in mouse models. Strong postdoc training program is in place with ample opportunities for both formal and informal training in mouse genetics. Candidates also must have passion for science, strong work ethics, and excellent interpersonal skills. Salary will be commensurate with established NIH guidelines. Candidates with an M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent degree with previous experience in neuroscience and cancer research with strong molecular biology and cell biology skills are encouraged to apply.
