美国密歇根大学生物化学博士后招聘
job description
Postdoctoral position is available to carry out interdisciplinary project to study interactions of small molecules with proteins relevant to cancers and develop small molecule inhibitors of protein-protein interactions. We are seeking for highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with extensive experience in protein biochemistry, biochemical assays and biophysical methods to study small molecule inhibitors of protein-protein interactions. This project requires experience in expression of recombinant proteins, protein purification, binding experiments, biochemical assays, molecular biology, including PCR, Western Blot and co-Immunoprecipitation. Successful candidate will be a part of an interdisciplinary team whose research is focused on different stages of pre-clinical development of anti-cancer drug candidates, including biochemical studies, medicinal chemistry, structural biology and cell-based studies. In addition, close collaboration with biologists to test compounds in mice models of cancer will be an integral part of the project. Depending on the interests and skills the candidate will have an opportunity to expand expertise in other methods relevant to drug discovery.
Applicant must have PhD in biochemistry or related field. This position requires extensive experience in purification of recombinant proteins, biochemical assays, biophysical methods and molecular biology techniques. Additional experience in structural biology would be a plus. Furthermore, excellent oral and written communication skills in English, effective judgment and problem solving with little or no supervision, high motivation and commitment to academic biomedical research, expertise in Excel and Origin are required. Contact Information Please submit cover letter, CV, and contact information for 2-3 references combined into one PDF file. The position is available immediately.Contact: Jolanta Grembecka, PhD
