job description
Position Title
PostDoctoral Fellowship – ‘Influence of plant stress on methane oxidation in soils’
Reports To
Science Leader Forest Environment & Economics
Purpose of Position
The purpose of this position is to carry out scientific research to investigate relationships between plant stress and methane oxidation by soil microbes to better understand the potential to manage methane oxidation in soils. The relationship between ethylene production in soils and methane oxidation will be examined, and the potential to manage this interaction through the selection of appropriate plant genotypes and land management strategies will be evaluated. In addition to the research, this position is responsible for aspects of experimental design, execution, analysis, interpretation, reporting and communication of results.
Organisational Values
