A new lab in the Department of Neurobiology at UCLA is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to lead an effort to utilize state-of-the-art multi-electrode electrophysiological recording systems to interrogate the reward pathway at the network level. In addition to performing basic research on basal ganglia and limbic brain circuitry, this position offers unique opportunities to help develop and implement the next generation of nanofabricated recording systems. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in performing in vivo electrophysiological recordings and analysis, proficiency in using spike sorting techniques, and good Matlab skills. Start date is flexible but ideally would take place in the summer of 2012.
