Postdoctoral Researcher in Theoretical Soft Matter Physics (M/F)
• Ref: F1R-PHY-PFN-11CRYS
• 2 year fixed-term contract (starting date: preferably April 1st, 2012), full-time
• Employee status

Mission

• Research in computer simulations of liquid-crystal interfaces. The framework of the project is a collaboration between the Fonds National de la Recherche Luxembourg (FNR) and a priority research programme on crystallization and heterogeneous nucleation within the German Research Association (DFG)
• Co-supervision of young researchers
• Dissemination of scientific results (publication in high-impact journals and presentation at international conferences) as well as reporting to funding bodies

Profile
• PhD in Physics or a related field
• Research experience in statistical mechanics and soft matter physics
• Sound background in programming, computer simulation techniques and theoretical physics of fluids.
• Excellent command of English, basic knowledge of German and / or French
