A postdoctoral fellow position in microfluidics is available in the laboratory of Prof. Hongshen Ma, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. Our research group develops microfluidics technologies for cell separation and cell biomechanics. Currently, these technologies are being applied to the isolation of circulating tumor cells and the study of red blood cells infected with malaria. We welcome applicants with background in microfluidics, bioengineering, and biophysics. Previous experience in microfabrication, cell biomechanics, cell tissue culture, and instrumentation would be an asset.
