Postdoctoral positions are available to conduct research on bacterial pathogens including species of Mycobacterium and other respiratory pathogens using rodent and cellular models of infection. Research will relate to the following projects
(1). Bacterial virulence mechanisms: The aim is to investigate the genetic determinants of pathogen virulence and immunogenicity. The study will involve the use of a combination of bacterial genetics and immunological techniques.
(2). Host-pathogen interaction and immunology: Research will focus on molecular and genetic basis of host immune response and susceptibility. The study will involve the use of a combination of systems biology and immunological techniques using in vitro and in vivo models of infection.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences with relevant prior experience and scientific writing skills as applied to microbial pathogenesis research. Salary will be commensurate with relevant skills and experience.
Interested candidates should email their CV to jagjit.yadav@uc.edu
