Job Description
Responsibilities
• Simulation and design microfluidic devices for cell based assay development
• Design and prototype of microfluidic and electrical interface for cell detection system set-up
• Characterization of cell enrichment, cell trapping and cell sorting and microfluidic devices
• Collaborate with project team members and external partners to achieve device specifications and verify system performance
• Project technical information and experimental data documentation and managements
• Maintenance of project related specific equipments
• Regular project report based on requirements
• Generate novel intellectual properties and scientific publications
• Guide and train junior staffs and students when necessary
Requirements:
• PhD in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or other equivalent training or experience.
• Extensive hands-on R & D experience in characterization of microfluidic device for cell based assay, diagnostic or drug discovery
• Experience in using microfluidic simulation tools and interface design for microfluidic and electrical are strongly preferred
• Experience in bioassays such as cell culture, purification, sorting or trapping assay is a plus
• Good communication skills and team working ability and also an independent researcher in fast-paced environment are must
• Track recorder for good journal publications
