Adult Neural Stem Cells and Neurogenesis in Brain Aging, Regeneration and Gliomagenesis
Two fully funded postdoctoral positions are available in the Chun-Li Zhang Lab at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Research in this lab is focused on postnatal neural stem cells and their role in diseases. Current research projects include the molecular mechanism underlying stem cell aging, signaling pathways regulating stem cell specification and maintenance, small chemicals targeting gliomagenic cells, and induced neurogenesis after brain injuries. These projects are funded through NIH Director’s New Innovator Award, NIH R01, The American Heart Association, The Ellison Medical Foundation, The Whitehall Foundation, The Welch Foundation, and the Endowed Scholar Program at UT Southwestern.
Requirements for the candidates include a Ph.D. and/or a M.D. degree with proven record of publications and a strong background in Neuroscience. New graduates are preferred.
