Job Description

Postdoctoral position(s) are available in the areas of telomere structure, DNA repair, and visualization of DNA-protein interactions as related to Herpes virus replication. The work emphasizes in vitro reconstitution, protein purification, and electron microscopy combined with biochemical analysis. New cryo-based EM methods for analysis of DNA-protein complexes and cells are being developed, a topic with strong academic job possibilities in which the new fellow can gain experience if he/she desires. Preference will be given to applicants who possess a background in biochemistry and experience in fields related to the studies above. The Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center has a vigorous postdoctoral training program. Chapel Hill is a very friendly environment, with numerous other academic institutions in close proximity.
