job descriptionFaculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellow Project Title: Magnetostructural Response in Heterostructured Systems Fixed-term for 15 months The post is available immediately in the Condensed Matter Physics research group. The post is part of an international collaboration “Magnetostructural Response in Heterostructured Systems” with the UK part funded by the EPSRC, the overseas part being funded by the US National Science Foundation. Our collaborative partners are the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in the UK, and Northeastern University (Boston) and Brookhaven National Laboratory in the USA. You will join a dynamic collaborative team, working with Dr Christopher Marrows in the Condensed Matter Physics Group, in co-operation with our UK and overseas research partners. You will possess (or will have submitted) an experimental PhD or equivalent in Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline, and direct research experience in experimental nanomagnetism. The ability and willingness to travel to the partner laboratories in the USA, to fully participate in the collaborative research programme, is essential. University Grade 7 (£29,972 – £35,788 p.a.)
