Postdoctoral Researcher Position
Molecular Pathology and Tumor Biology
A post-doctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Luis Del Valle is immediately available in the Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center for two research projects: 1) study the role of Polyomaviruses in oncogenesis of the brain and other neural crest-derived malignancies and 2) investigate the role of Polyomaviruses in the activation and de-regulation of anti-apoptotic pathways, which results in enhanced viral replication. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills and hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent, in the biological sciences or related fields. Experience in molecular biology and cellular signaling is essential for the project while candidates with pathology, virology, strong PCR and DNA-repair backgrounds will be preferred.
