美国麻省理工学院招聘合成生物学博士后
job descriptionApplications are invited for multiple postdoctoral positions in the Synthetic Biology Group at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (http://www.rle.mit.edu/sbg/). The positions will focus on engineering fundamental platforms for synthetic biology and applying these platforms to create enhanced biological memory, processing, and circuit capabilities. The successful candidate(s) should have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences. Extensive prior research involving one or more of the following areas/technologies is desirable: genome engineering, synthetic biology, recombinases, zinc-fingers, TAL effectors, DNA methylation, quantitative biology, high-throughput and/or robotic approaches to molecular biology. Strong enthusiasm, energy, and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate(s) will work closely with Professor Timothy Lu and members of the Lu Laboratory. Researcher(s) will also be integrated into the recently established and vibrant Synthetic Biology Center at MIT, which includes an interdisciplinary set of scientists and engineers focused on synthetic biology as an emerging engineering discipline. The postdoctoral positions will be available for a start date in Fall 2011. Interested applicants should send a CV, summary of previous research, and contact addresses of three references, as soon as possible, to Professor Lu (timlu at mit dot edu). Synthetic Biology Group |
