Pharmacogenetics is the scientific discipline that relates inter-individual variation in drug response and efficacy to genetic variation. We are currently seeking applications for 1 Postdoctoral Researcher / 1 Experienced Researcher (ER) in Pharmacogenomics. This 2-year mobility program, based in at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology (IKP) in Stuttgart, Germany, will provide an eligible international researcher with in-depth-training in breast cancer susceptibility and pharmacogenomics as well as international experiences at both academic and industry partners. Short-term visits to partner facilities will provide the researcher with network-wide training including interdisciplinary and intersectional transfer of knowledge and new technologies. ER will participate in the collaboration with international breast cancer research networks.
Description
Successful applicants • Possess an internationally recognized life science degree (preferred PhD) • or 4 years pharmacogenomics-related research experience • Have less than five years total research experience within their professional research careers • Relevant first degree (ie. molecular biology, clinical pharmacology, etc) which is internationally recognized • Ability to perform association studies including relevant statistical analysis • Laboratory experience in a molecular biology setting • Desire to train within a mobility program throughout Europe, associated countries and an international cooperation partner country and are willing to relocate to Germany for the duration of the position • Are highly motivated and able to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary international team • Possess proficiency in the English language
