Postdoctoral fellow

– fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity in adipose tissue/adipocytes

Postdoctoral position in the area of type II diabetes and obesity is available in a newly established lab at Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

We aim to understand the molecular mechanisms that regulate lipid droplet dynamics in adipocytes, and consequences for the regulation of adiposity and adipocyte dysfunction in obesity and diabetes. The research focuses on studying the fat metabolism and its consequences on insulin sensitivity in humans. Excellent resources and newly developed unique techniques are available to work on the molecular mechanisms associated with type 2 diabetes and obesity.

Highly motivated, hard working recent Ph.D. graduates who are well trained in molecular biology, cell biology, microscopy and tissue culture techniques with a prior publication record are encouraged to apply.
