A postdoctoral position is currently available in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University for a team player who seeks a highly productive postdoctoral experience. A candidate is sought with expertise in cellular signaling to study the molecular pharmacology of G protein-coupled receptors and their effectors. The position is in an active laboratory with a focus on the effects of drug modulation of receptors, G proteins, and adenylyl cyclases using a variety of novel cellular models. Approaches include the use of Bimolecular Fluorescence Complementation (BiFC) and HTS assay development for drug-target discovery efforts. Overall research interests include schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease, and drug abuse.
