PhD position (funded by the Foundation for Polish Sciences) is available at the Institute of Organic Chemistry PAS (Warsaw, Poland). We offer a stimulating academic environment, very good working conditions and infrastructures.

We seek for an enthusiastic, hard-working and highly motivated PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry. Excellent knowledge of organic chemistry and an outstanding academic record is expected. Good communication skills in English would be a plus.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic or Medicinal Chemistry and a strong background in multi-step organic synthesis. This highly motivated candidate is expected to be responsible for the synthesis and structure activity relationships (SAR) development of novel sGC activators. To qualify for a post-doc fellowship you should have a PhD degree not more than four years old, in organic chemistry with focus on organic, bioorganic, or medicinal chemistry. You must be familiar with modern synthetic methodology and purification techniques, as well as characterization techniques including HPLC, LCMS, and NMR

The position is full-time fixed term for up to two years available from November, 2011 and is subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Remuneration package: 1250 euro per month plus medical care.
