Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Dean group http://www.jic.ac.uk/staff/caroline-dean to undertake research combining genetic analysis and biochemistry to dissect FCA-mediated chromatin silencing in the Arabidopsis genome, explore the overlap with other silencing pathways and investigate the influence of environmental stresses.
The John Innes Centre is a world-class Institute and is looking to appoint an exceptional candidate who has a PhD in molecular biology/biochemistry. The person will have experience in Arabidopsis molecular genetic analysis. They will also have molecular experience in chromatin biochemistry and co-transcriptional RNA metabolism. Good interaction and communication skills, innovative thinking and interest in the literature are essential.
Salary on appointment will be within the range £26,610 to £29,566 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This is a limited term contract available for 12 months.
