We have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the DNA Damage Group headed by Professor Peter O’Neill and in collaboration with Dr Mark Hill.

You will undertake research on the pathways involved in radiation-induced perturbation of intercellular communication in non-irradiated oncogenic transformed cells mediated by surrounding normal human cells. These studies contribute to understanding and implications for carcinogenesis of ionising radiation.
The successful candidate will have a PhD/DPhil in biology, biochemistry or a related science, a high level of technical competence and substantial experience in standard molecular biology, biochemical and tissue culture techniques and is expected to attend EPIRADBIO project meetings with other EU Partners in Europe. A background in radiation effects is desirable.

This is a full-time post and is offered for 3 years in the first instance.
