One fully funded post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Conor Lynch to study the role of proteases and cytokines in tumor metastasis, in particular, in the context of prostate to bone metastasis. Our laboratory focuses on how matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) can facilitate cell-cell communication in primary and secondary sites by processing cytokines and growth factors to soluble active forms using in vivo models of prostate cancer metastasis to bone. Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology or related fields and be familiar with routine protein and DNA techniques as evidenced by publications. Experience in animal care and use and in using bioinformatics tools to analyze gene expression profiles will be a plus..
