We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Experimental Diabetes Unit at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute located in Milan, Italy.

The ideal candidate should hold a PhD and/or MD degree and have a strong background in immunology and mechanistic studies on immune-mediated diseases. Experience with basic cellular immunology and molecular biology techniques is required.

The successful candidate will work on a project aimed to assess the role of innate immune cells and gut immune regulation in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diabetes. The study will be carried out through the use of state of the art methodologies such as generation/analysis of conditional mouse models and intravital microscopy.

An initial contract of one year will be offered to the successful candidate. This will be renewed depending on the circumstances at the time of review. Salary will depend on experience.
