Postdoctoral fellow positions are available at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to study chromatin remodeling in cardiovascular disease. Ongoing research projects are examining the role of histone variants, global chromatin structure and histone-modifying enzymes in controlling complex cardiac phenotypes in health and disease. The projects employ a systems approach including proteomics, genomics, network biology, imaging and animal/cell physiology. Strong collaborations exist in this highly creative environment which spans multiple basic and clinical Departments at UCLA. Successful candidates should have PhD or MD, exceptional motivation and demonstrated research expertise in chromatin regulation and/or proteomics/genomics. Individuals with extensive credentials in molecular imaging in eukaryotes are also encouraged to apply.
