Sanofi-Aventis currently has available a Postdoctoral Position in toxicology for a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in interdisciplinary approaches to study mechanisms of liver toxicity. The candidate should have a strong enthusiasm for working with in vitro and in vivo models and a solid background in general pharmacology, toxicology, biochemical and molecular biology disciplines.
The candidate will be working in a cutting edge research environment with training opportunities in molecular toxicology, imaging, genomics and transgenic models. The candidate is also expected to interact with external collaborators to implement novel toxicity models to help develops Sanofi-aventis candidate drugs.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology or a related scientific field
Working knowledge and expertise in the application of in vitro and in vivo toxicity studies in the investigation of mechanisms of toxicity
Working knowledge of mechanistic/investigative toxicology techniques, including cell culture, genomics and system biology
Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment
Willing to travel within the US and Europe to collaborate with external partners
Valid authorization to work in the US
Excellent communication skills
