Postdoctoral Research Associate
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated researcher to integrate into a team of Postdoctoral Researchers and PhD students researching the fundamental mechanisms of mitosis and cytokinesis in human cells. The aim of this Cancer Research UK funded project is to understand the structure and function of protein kinases and phosphatases controlling mitosis and cytokinesis. Analysis of protein phosphorylation by mass spectrometry is a key part of the role.
Applicants should possess a PhD/DPhil in a relevant subject, have a high level of technical competence and substantial experience in standard molecular biological, biochemical and tissue culture techniques.
This full-time post is funded by Cancer Research UK until April 2013 and is based at the Department of Biochemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford.
This position is graded on the University’s grade 7 pay scale, for which the salary range is £29,099 – 35,788 per annum. The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding available
