job description
A POSTDOC POSITION is available immediately to investigate the mechanism of ATP-dependent macromolecular machines involved in protein folding and post-translational modification. The project is at the biochemistry, molecular biology, and biophysics interface and requires a recent Ph.D. in biochemistry, genetics (yeast/bacteria), molecular/cell biology or a closely related field. Applicants must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills, and must have demonstrated experience (i.e. relevant publications) with methods used to analyze protein function and/or post-translational modifications. Experience with protein purification, enzymology, gene cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, and yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)/eubacteria is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and is in addition to a generous fringe benefit package.
